VISIT AND TRAINING IN
"MOELLER"(F&G), Schrems, Austria
ELPLAST workers paid a working visit to the "MOELLER Gebäudeautomation KG"
whose optical program ELPLAST represents in Croatia, Slovenia, BiH, Montenegro, Macedonia
and Albania. Two days of visit were utilized for wide program of training for application
of optical fibers jointing accessories and factory sight-seeing. In spite of exhausting
program, hosts did everything to make our visit well organized and easily fulfilled.

PRESENTATION IN HEP-DP "ELEKTRA
VINKOVCI "
With kindness of our host, ELPLAST visited HEP-DP
" ELEKTRA VINKOVCI ", and successfully presented it's production program of
heatshrinkable technology for cable joints and termination for low and medium voltage up
to 36 kV.
Beside the theoretical part, the practical part of
the presentation was also done, together with staff of " ELEKTRA VINKOVCI ".

EDUCATION in "ELPLAST"
ELPLAST company educated three workers from Romanian
companies ICMRS and SIDERURGICA for installation of cable joints and terminations for low
and medium voltage. During the five day program frequenters pass education successfully in
theoretical and practical part, on cable joints EMPJ 3X 3320 and cable terminations EMIT
3X 3320.After the receiving certificates for education, guests were introduced with the
sights of the city of Zagreb and its neighborhood. We are very satisfied with
accomplishments and association with gentlemen's and we hope that we will continue with
good collaboration as during this five days.

PRESENTATION
IN HEP DP ELEKTRA POZEGA
With kindness of our
representative, company ALLES d.o.o., we have organized a presentation in Pozega of
ELPLAST's production program (joints and terminations for low and medium voltage) in DP
Elektra Pozega. There were more than ten HEP representatives attending detailed
presentation.
In a discussion, during the presentation, interest was shown for
specific problems in connecting cables when fixing damages on the field, especially at
medium voltage cables isolated with impregnated paper, type NEHKBA. Experts from Elplast
immediately gave concrete answers and solutions on asked questions, with the help of
video-projection.
We agreed upon presentation of practical making of the joints and
terminations in Educational center in Velika sometime in March.

NEW CONSTRUCTION
OF JOINT for 12/20 kV cable (XHE-49A)
EMPJ-1T
In ELPLAST we have developed construction of
joint for one core 12/20 kV XHE cables type EMPJ-1T. By contrast to the old construction,
here we use only two heat shrinkable tubing's: two layer insulation - semi-conductive and
exterior-sealant. Stress control is achieved by combination of special panels, (clothes)
which we wrap around the cable. This way we achieved simpler construction, and
installation is easier and fast.
New joint was tested with voltage of 4,5 Uo (54kV) for 5 minutes with no
break down occured. When we tested partial discharge with voltage of 21 kV, maximum value
was 4,5 pC (medium 3,2 pC). According to CENELEC standard, maximum is 10 pC.

EDUCATIONAL AND
PRACTICAL TRAINING IN "ELPLAST"
HEP employees from DP "Elektra
Bjelovar" and department Krizevci have been attending course and training of
connecting transition joint EMPJ 1X-LS, which we use for connecting paper insulated three
core 10kV cable with Pb armature (IPO 13) and plastic insulated armored screened one core
20kV cables (XHE 49-A). Together with Elplast's workers there were assemblers and
technical staff from HEP also involved when mounting the joint.
Besides the practical training we introduced HEP employees with complete production
program of company "ELPLAST".

PRESENTATION IN
"ECM"
(MACEDONIAN POWER COMPANY)
ELPLAST and "EL-BAJT" from Skopje (as
Elplast's representative) organized presentation in Macedonian Power Company
("ELEKTROSTOPANSTVO NA MAKEDONIJA"). On well-attended presentation, we presented
Elplast's production program. With the help of multimedia we have shown low and medium
voltage joints and terminations and installation accessories for power cables. Separately,
we presented set for connecting optical cables, LV and MV metal oxide surge arresters.
Additional questions and answers, with their specific problems, from their own experience
continued great interest of people who attended presentation. Interest and desire for
further cooperation was shown, in sense of practical training-mounting joints and
terminations, for their assemblers.

TRAINING IN ELPLAST
We had personnel of
HEP Varazdin on training in Elplast. In practical part of training a new
joint EMPJ-1T has been made for single core
12/20 kV XHE49-A cables and cable
termination ELVT-A for four cores plastic insulated cables, voltage level
0,6/1 kV.

INSTALLATION
OF JOINTS AND TERMINATIONS
IN HEP DP "ELEKTRA POZEGA"
At the invitation of HEP, DP Pozega, Elplast's workers have made three joints
EMPJ 2120 and three terminations for indoor application
EMIT 2120 on cable XHE49-A (12/20
kV, 150mm2). After successful testing, the cable was put into operation.

INSTALLATION OF
JOINTS
in HEP DP "ELEKTRA BJELOVAR"
At the invitation of HEP, DP Elektra Bjelovar, Elplast's workers
have made two transition joints EMPJC 1X-LS for transition from single core XHE49-A
cables, voltage level 12/20 kV to three core belted IPO12 cable,
voltage level 6/10 kV.
